    Penny has guided this agency as the ChiefExecutive Officer since August 1991. “Prior to coming to this organization, I had always worked with many kids and families who were part of the child welfare system,” she says. “I wanted to be in a position where we could focus on prevention services. The mission is why I am here.” She leads a talented and highly-educated team, many of whom have advanced degrees in counseling and program administration. “Their commitment to the children and families we serve is a primary reason our organization has become a model for building strong communities.”

    Adrielle has been with Completely KIDS℠ since March 2012. She enjoys using her journalism background and skills in written and verbal communications, design and photography to serve children and families at Completely KIDS. Though not a Nebraska native, she’s a Husker fan and loves visiting the Henry Doorly Zoo. Adrielle is married and has a son and a Chihuahua.

    Bill joined Completely KIDS in January 2011 as Shelter Program Coordinator before his promotion to Program Manager. He currently manages all the community-based sites, which includes the shelter, teen employment, All Saints, weekend food, and all headquarter services. An Omaha native, Bill received his undergraduate degree from Creighton University before moving to Boston with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps as a Child Advocate with a family homeless shelter. In 2010, he received a master’s degree from Loyola Chicago before returning home to Omaha. Bill is an avid runner and remains a diehard Creighton Bluejays basketball fan.

    Margaret started with Completely KIDS in October 2019, bringing work experience from DuPage Children's Museum, Zonta International, both of Chicago, and Alkem Laboraties in St. Louis. Margaret says, "I'm inspired by the mission of Completely KIDS and can see the difference it makes in the community. I want to use my professional skills to help further the mission." Margaret is married to husband Chris and has sons. She's a St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoys traveling, reading and theater.

    Ann started with Completely KIDS under its former affiliation in May 2002. She served as a Community Outreach Worker and Program Coordinator at Jackson Elementary before moving into her role as a director. “I truly believe in what we do,” Ann says. “I have had the opportunity to see our kids have great successes in their lives, and that makes me proud!” Ann is married, has a son, Eddie, and has a competitive spirit on the soccer field.

    Before joining the Completely KIDS staff as a Program Coordinator in September 2016, Lacey worked with juveniles on probation and says she “noticed a great need for positive role models before youth enter high school.” In her current role as Volunteer and Donations Manager, Lacey will provide critical support in developing relationships with volunteers and requesting and distributing donations. Lacey enjoys relaxing at home with her husband Greg and dog Gilmore or in Lincoln with family.

    Rosa worked for almost 10 years in the credit card banking industry before finding her passion for human services as a part-time Volunteer Coordinator at CASA for Douglas County. In 2012, she accepted a full-time role working with families at Completely KIDS. She helps adults reach their goals in the areas of education, personal growth and health/wellness. Rosa says many Completely KIDS families have one or both parents who were not given any educational opportunities in their home country. Born in Mexico, Rosa believes, “had my Dad not been one of the skilled farm laborers working in the United States during that time, I would be one of these people, through no fault of my own, who is not educated or able to provide the opportunity of a bright future to my three children.” Rosa is married to husband Ray.

    Carla has seen the ins and outs of Completely KIDS since starting here in October 1998. She served as a volunteer, Program Support Staff, Program Coordinator (Highland, Liberty AM, Washington, Marrs, Norris, Bryan, Teen and Transition programs), Program Specialist and Program Manager prior to her current role. “As I started working at the program, I immediately fell in love with the kids and families, and saw the serious barriers they were challenged with,” Carla says. “My heart has always stayed with the kids and families, and I believe in this organization. I am who I am because of what I have learned while working at Completely KIDS.” Family is the most important thing to Carla. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has two sons.

    Prior to joining Completely KIDS as Program Manager in January 2015, Sam worked in the Twin Cities for a nonprofit that partners with low-income public schools to reduce bullying and increase opportunities for healthy living. She’s happy to combine her experience with her passion for children to work with kids and families at Completely KIDS. You can find her spending time with her husband and family, curled up with a good book or whipping up something delicious in the kitchen.

    Fatima previously worked at the Learning Community Center of South Omaha as an Educational Navigator. Fatima started with Completely KIDS in January 2020. She says, "Completely KIDS offers so many amazing opportunities for families and students to continue learning and growing together through programs and activities. I look forward to sharing with families about local resources in the community and be a support for them." She enjoys art and photography and has traveled to Brighton, England for study abroad.

    Sheila is one of the agency’s long-time employees. Since starting in January 1996, she has served at the Niños, Wintergreen, Shelter and CK Highland sites, and now oversees our CK Walnut Hill location. Sheila is married with two daughters and seven grandkids, and you can count on her to cook a fancy feast during the holidays.

    Kayla has recently started working at Completely KIDS in July of 2020. Prior to working at Completely KIDS, she worked as a Foster Care Specialist, a Youth Director, and a Crisis Counselor. She said, "The moment I visited the CK building for an event, I fell in love with the program. My passion stems from supporting youth and families to be successful." Her hobbies include being around her family and crafts. She also knows the American Sign Language.

    Heidi first joined Completely KIDS in August 2018 as a curriculum assistant, where she used her education experience to create clubs and centers for the kids the agency serves. As a coordinator, she's able to make a direct impact and says, "I love working with kids. I love using my abilities to help make other people's lives just a little bit better." Heidi's previous experience includes working in Omaha Public Schools, Learning Community Center and in Spain. She's quite a hands-on person and has made an electric guitar and earrings. Heidi also grows fruit trees, and enjoys reading and singing.

    Alyssa moved to Omaha from Southern, California, several years ago and brings experiences to Completely KIDS from her former position at Abide Omaha. As the CK Marrs Program Coordinator, Alyssa hopes to “empower students and families to reach their full potential.” Alyssa is married to husband Mark.

    Nancy participated in Completely KIDS (then Camp Fire) as a middle school student and was later hired as Program Support Staff at CK Highland. There, she became the assistant and then joined Completely KIDS full time as a Family Specialist. Nancy briefly left Completely KIDS before returning to complete an internship in the curriculum department and then being hired on full time in 2020 as the Program Coordinator for CK Norris.

    Growing up, Nancy spent her summers in her parent's hometown in Guerrero, Mexico. She said this experience was very humbling and has fueled her desire to receive a higher education and work with the Latino community.

    Diana has been with Completely KIDS since 2004, as a Program Support Staff, to a Lead, and then to an Assistant. Completely KIDS has given her multiple opportunities since she was a youth to now--continuing to enjoy the kids and families we serve. She loves helping people and feels the fullest when working with kids. She loves to learn different languages. She hopes to learn how to read and write Arabic. Diana is a single mother raising her teenage boy, Miguel.

    Yahaira brings a special understanding of Completely KIDS to her work each day. She is an alumni of the program and worked part time as a program support staff and program assistant at Liberty. She briefly left Completely KIDS for a full-time position at another local agency and returned in March 2019 as a Family Specialist. She says, "I am very proud of how much Completely KIDS has grown. Every day, I am inspired by the children and families we serve and their continuous dedication to succeed." Yahaira enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her parents and two younger sisters. She also likes to read and catch up on the latest flicks.

    Katie joined Completely KIDS as the Program Coordinator at Field Club Elementary, bringing with her work experience from the YMCA of Greater Omaha and Omaha Public Schools. In college, the impact Completely KIDS has on our community left a mark on Katie when a classmate presented about the agency. “I was amazed at the generosity provided by this agency,” she says. “It truly fits with my beliefs and mindset. I believe that no child or family should miss out on experiences due to financial means or any other disadvantage.” Katie adds to a community of dog lovers at Completely KIDS with her pooch named Beau. On another note, she’s never traveled outside of the United States.

    Cheamera has previously worked as an Assistant Teacher at UNO Child Care Center and a Teaching Assistant at Purpose Driven Advocacy Center. She said, "I am passionate about serving my community and helping others in any way that I can. Completely KIDS gives me the opportunity to do something I enjoy -- connecting with people and providing resources to aid in the holistic success of youth and their families." Her hobbies are painting, game nights with friends and family, and watching superhero movies.

    Before being hired as the Shelter Coordinator, Meg’s history with Completely KIDS includes working as a practicum student and a Program Support Staff for All Saints School and the family program. Quite simply, Meg works for Completely KIDS because of her passion for the kids. “I love interacting with the kids, watching them grow and being a positive role model for them,” she says. Meg completed her capstone project with Completely KIDS at All Saints, which “allowed (her) to get to know the families better and set up a solid foundation for changes in communication and connection to resources for families, All Saints and Completely KIDS.” On a personal note, Meg is an avid Husker football and Creighton basketball fan. If supporting local sports isn’t enough, she also loves to patronize local businesses.

    Before piloting our program at All Saints School in the fall of 2016, Diran worked at CK Highland as a Program Support Staff and Lead Staff, as well as for our curriculum manager. “Completely KIDS has given me the opportunities to work with kids and help them develop educational and social/emotional skills,” Diran says. Personally, Diran comes from a large family, where he’s the third oldest of eight, and the oldest and youngest are only 10 years apart. He’s an avid disc golfer, not to be confused with Frisbee golf or frolf, enjoys playing soccer and volunteers as a basketball coach at All Saints.

    Mike has been a faithful employee of Completely KIDS since August 2011. His part-time roles have included program support and lead staff at CK Gomez. As the Teen/Alumni Specialist, Mike oversees the Teen Employment Program and will continue to engage CK alumni after they have graduated. Mike is an avid Nebraska football fan and plays a trading card game called "Magic: the Gathering" semi-competitively. He also describes himself as a crazy cat dad of Zak, Thalia and Maru.

    With 10 years of teaching experience, Joey joined the CK team in February 2017 to continue oversight of the development of Completely KIDS curriculum and staff training modules. As an Omaha native, Joey specifically enjoys “working with the South Omaha community that Completely KIDS focuses on” and feels “fortunate to serve the Omaha community as a whole.” On a side note, Joey spent time in Ecuador serving in the Peace Corps and enjoys coaching sports.

    Before joining Completely KIDS as a Program Coordinator in 2018, she worked as a Program Support Staff for CK Gomez for nine years. Anna’s professional experience includes time served in the U.S. Army, PAC Facilitator for Omaha Public Schools, children’s ministry and working sales for Xerox. Soon after starting at OPS, she also began her work with Completely KIDS and says, “I found that burning desire to help kids take root again, and I have never looked back. I want to do what I can to bring light into their sometimes-bleak worlds.” Because Anna is approachable and personable, some might be surprised to know she is a true introvert. On her list of to-dos? Travel to all 50 states.

    Lulu is an alumnus of our teen program and served as a practicum student at Field Club before joining Completely KIDS full time as the Shelter Coordinator. In 2017, she transitioned to working with families in a mental health capacity. “Because I was in the program during high school, I know the impact this agency has on kids,” she says. Lulu is married to Teddy and enjoys spending time with her family and two Pugs.

    Angela returned to Completely KIDS in October 2018 as the Program Coordinator at CK Liberty. She had previously worked for Completely KIDS under its former affiliation at Norris Middle School prior to working for Bethesda Urban Community Development and Boys & Girls Club of the Midlands. Angela brings extensive experience in working with youth to Completely KIDS. "I feel that the organization supports a community that is dealing with some deep-rooted cultural challenges/issues that I haven't seen other organizations in this community support," she says. Though Angela calls Omaha home, she is a native of Denver. She's been married to her husband for more than 20 years, loves to fish and can play a tune on the violin. Angela has also experienced many firsts in her life, including first person in her family to get a college degree and first assistant women's basketball coach at Iowa Western Community College.

    Emma joined Completely KIDS as a part-time Social Media Intern since January 2019. Her current position is to serve as an online voice across the agency's social networking sites. Emma was excited to gain hands-on experience while being "a good change in our community in so many different ways." Emma is half Japanese and is bilingual in English and Japanese. She has two dogs and loves trying new restaurants with friends.

  • John brings 30 years of experience in office and home maintenance to his role as Facilities Manager at Completely KIDS. For years, he heard about the work Completely KIDS does to help people and says, “I felt I had the ability to help support the organization.” In his spare time, John enjoys growing a variety of trees and plants in his yard, raises a few chickens and likes to complete woodworking projects.

    Angela has years of knowledge and experience with volunteers from her time with Salvation Army. She said, "I enjoy working in the nonprofit sector with volunteers who give so selflessly and generously to help fill a need in others' lives." Some of her hobbies are listening to music and dancing. She also has two sons, one in the Coast Guard and the other in the Army National Guard. She is number 6 out of 7 kids and was the first in her family to graduate college.

    Kim came from Omaha Public Schools in November 2017, bringing with her secretarial and administrative skills. As a Program Aide for Completely KIDS, Kim handles all records related to releases of information, Title XX, childcare licensure, incident reports, staff training and curriculum, and applicable audits. Kim says, “I love what Completely KIDS does for the community. I love what they offer not only to children but to the entire family.” Kim is married, has two kids and enjoys settling in for the latest documentary.

    Sara served for eight years as the Completely KIDS receptionist before moving strictly to development in 2019. She says, “I love what the agency does for the kids around the community and seeing people help out every way they can.” Sara likes riding horses, boating, camping and taking Champ, her Pit Bull, on walks. But after a long day in the outdoors, she settles in for a good read.

    Matt joined Completely KIDS as Human Resources Manager in May 2018, combining his years of HR experience from Gordmans and Nebraska Furniture Mart with his love for helping others. "I had been looking for the right opportunity to start working with children and families again," Matt says. "The mission and vision of Completely KIDS spoke to me right away. I knew I had to be part of an organization that focuses their efforts on the success of children and their families." Matt's family includes his wife Caitlin, son William, two dogs and foster dogs. In addition to his work for Completely KIDS and service of foster dogs, Matt, a Type 1 Diabetic, advocates for diabetes research and funding in hopes of finding a cure.
